Lemondogs win Nordic Masters

Lemondogs have managed to come out on top of Nordic Masters after defeating FEOLB in the grand finals 2-0 (16-3, 16-13) to win the 40,000 SEK (~4,490€) first place prize.

The tournament was originally expected to have a vast majority of the world's best team in attendance, but in the end the only notable team to show up was Lemondogs. Despite lack of competition, they ran into trouble early on as they fell short against Markus "pronax" Wallsten's Swedish mixteam Coldgame on de_mirage 12-16.

On the other side of the bracket, the Finnish mixteam TMVG topped their group after a pair of 16-13 wins. In the first semi-final, FEOLB surprised fans by taking down Wallsten's promising mixteam, and advanced to the grand final with 16-9 and 16-12 wins on de_mirage and de_train, after losing de_inferno with a score of 9-16.

Lemondogs score an easy win at Nordic Masters 

Lemondogs seemed to be poised for three maps against TMVG who started de_tuscan by winning their terrorist half 12-3 and winning the counter-terrorist pistol round, but then ran into a brick wall, losing 17-19 in overtime. Second map de_nuke didn't go much better, as TMVG lost 16 straight rounds from a 3-0 lead to lose 3-16. Lemondogs went on to win 32 out of the last 37 rounds played in the series.

In the grand final FEOLB were simply overpowered on de_tuscan, managing only three rounds before losing. They had a strong start on de_dust2, going up 5-0 as terrorists, but had to surrender to a 8-7 half finish. Björn "threat" Pers' team continued where they left off in the second half, winning the map 16-13 overall.
